Description

A fun and festive treat that combines rich chocolate and refreshing peppermint for a delightful hot chocolate experience.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz of good-quality chocolate (semi-sweet, dark, or milk)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp pure peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • Silicone molds

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate by chopping it into small pieces and melting in a double boiler or microwave in short bursts.
  2. Coat the insides of the silicone molds with the melted chocolate using a spoon or pastry brush.
  3. Chill the coated molds in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
  4. Fill half of the chocolate shells with a tablespoon of cocoa powder, mini marshmallows, and crushed candy canes.
  5. Seal the bombs by warming the edges of the empty shells on a warm plate and pressing them together with the filled halves.
  6. Store the bombs in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Notes
