- 1 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 3 Eggs
- 1 cup Corn Syrup
- 2 cups Toasted Pecans, chopped
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add flour and salt, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and evenly press the dough into the bottom. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla. Stir in toasted pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the crust, spreading evenly. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until set and caramelized.
- Cool completely in the dish before cutting into squares.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a dash of bourbon to the filling. Melted dark chocolate drizzled on top makes for a sweeter touch.
