Description
Delightful cookies that combine creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate, perfect for sharing during the holidays.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- Hershey’s Kisses
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat each in granulated sugar.
- Place on an ungreased baking sheet, spaced apart by two inches.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for easier handling if it’s too sticky. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
