- 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 24 chocolate kisses
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sugars with softened peanut butter and blend until creamy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually fold in the flour, mixing just until incorporated.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll them in sugar before placing them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing them from the oven.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
For a fun twist, try using almond butter or different types of chocolate for the kisses.
