Description
Delicious pastries with a crispy exterior and a soft, sweet red bean filling, perfect for snacks or desserts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sweetened red bean paste
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the dough by mixing flour and salt in a bowl. Gradually add water and knead until smooth. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Make the filling by mixing red bean paste with optional vanilla extract or coconut.
- After the dough has rested, divide it into balls and roll each into a 4-inch disc. Place a spoonful of filling in the center, fold, and pinch to seal.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry pastries until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes each side. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying and avoid overcrowding the pan for even cooking.
