- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 4 cups mini marshmallows (or regular marshmallows)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
- Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth. If using vanilla, add it now.
- Remove the pot from heat and quickly add the Rice Krispies, stirring to coat evenly.
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the dish and press it into an even layer.
- Allow to cool at room temperature until set, then cut into squares or rectangles.
Notes
For a fun twist, consider adding chocolate chips or sprinkles to the mixture before pressing it into the pan. To keep treats soft, store them with a slice of bread in an airtight container.
