Description

A classic dessert that combines the crunchy texture of Rice Krispies with the gooeyness of melted marshmallows and butter, bringing nostalgia with every bite.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups mini marshmallows (or regular marshmallows)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
  2. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth. If using vanilla, add it now.
  3. Remove the pot from heat and quickly add the Rice Krispies, stirring to coat evenly.
  4. Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the dish and press it into an even layer.
  5. Allow to cool at room temperature until set, then cut into squares or rectangles.

Notes

For a fun twist, consider adding chocolate chips or sprinkles to the mixture before pressing it into the pan. To keep treats soft, store them with a slice of bread in an airtight container.
