Description

A delightful recipe for fluffy Old-Fashioned Pancakes that evokes warm childhood memories and brings family together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then whisk in the buttermilk and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Stack your pancakes high and serve warm with butter and syrup, or with fresh fruit or toppings of choice.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the batter for fluffy pancakes. Make sure your skillet is at the right temperature for perfect cooking.
