- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 cups cream of mushroom soup
- 8 oz sautéed mushrooms (button or cremini)
- 1 cup French fried onions
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and trim the green beans; blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Sauté the sliced mushrooms in melted butter over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, adding garlic powder.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sautéed mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce.
- Fold in the blanched green beans and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with French fried onions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, swap cream for Greek yogurt. Fresh garlic can be replaced with garlic powder.
