- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a touch of salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For gluten-free options, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. Coconut sugar can be used instead of granulated sugar.
