Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a touch of salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
  7. Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

For gluten-free options, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. Coconut sugar can be used instead of granulated sugar.
