Description

A rich and savory dish featuring grilled rock lobster with a flavorful miso-butter glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 rock lobsters, split in half lengthwise
  • 3 tablespoons miso paste (white or yellow preferred)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Fresh chives or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lobster by rinsing it under cold water and splitting it in half lengthwise.
  2. In a bowl, combine miso paste and softened butter; stir in minced garlic and lemon juice.
  3. Coat the lobster halves generously with the miso-butter mixture.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
  5. Place the lobster halves shell-side down on the grill and grill for about 5-7 minutes until the meat is opaque.
  6. Remove the lobster; sprinkle with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  7. Serve immediately, ideally with grilled vegetables or a light salad.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the lobster; it should reach an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) for best texture.
