Ingredients
- Brie cheese
- Fresh garlic mushrooms
- Fresh chives
- Fresh thyme
- Olive oil or butter
- Puff pastry
- Sea salt
- Freshly cracked pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown. Stir in minced garlic, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into triangle shapes resembling Christmas trees, arranging them on the baking sheet.
- Top each pastry triangle with sautéed mushrooms and a slice of brie. Add fresh herbs if desired.
- Use pastry scraps to create tiny decorations for the tree tops.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving and squeeze lemon juice over if desired.
Notes
