Description

A delightful appetizer featuring crispy bacon, creamy cheese, and a sweet balsamic glaze on toasted crostini, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1 fresh baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or chives), chopped
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice a fresh baguette into ½-inch thick rounds and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper; toast in the oven until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and chop into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Mix cream cheese with a touch of garlic powder; spread this on the toasted baguette slices.
  6. Top each piece with bacon, drizzle with balsamic glaze, and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
  7. Bake the assembled crostini back into the oven for 5-10 minutes until heated through.

Notes

Feel free to customize toppings based on preference. Use turkey bacon or sautéed mushrooms for a different twist.
