Description

A creamy and smooth dessert infused with earthy matcha, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored powdered gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar until dissolved and hot but not boiling.
  3. Whisk in matcha powder until smooth.
  4. Remove from heat, add bloomed gelatin, and stir until dissolved. Mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour into ramekins and cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Run a knife around edges to serve, optionally inverting onto a plate.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. Adjust sweetness as per preference.
