  • 1/4 cup tapioca pearls
  • Hot water for matcha
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Cook the tapioca pearls according to package instructions until soft and chewy.
  2. Whisk matcha powder with a small amount of hot water until smooth, aiming for a paste-like consistency.
  3. Add milk and sweetener to the matcha mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. In a glass, layer the cooked tapioca pearls and pour the matcha mixture over them.
  5. Add ice cubes and stir gently to combine.

Notes

Use a bamboo whisk for a frothier texture. Be careful not to overcook the tapioca pearls.
