Description
A comforting blend of sweet maple syrup and tangy Dijon mustard create a delicious glaze for perfectly roasted pork tenderloin, making it a family favorite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Pork Tenderloin
- 1/4 cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1/4 cup Dijon Mustard
- 3 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Fresh Thyme or Rosemary
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine maple syrup, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Marinate the Pork: Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, and pour the marinade over it. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Sear the Tenderloin: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated pork tenderloin, searing each side until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Roast in the Oven: Transfer the skillet or a baking dish with the tenderloin into the preheated oven. Roast for about 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Rest the Meat: Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Slice and Serve: Allow the tenderloin to cool slightly before slicing it into medallions. Drizzle with any remaining glaze.
Notes
For added depth, consider adding a splash of apple cider vinegar to the marinade or tossing in some sliced onions for caramelization while roasting.
