- 1 medium green cabbage, sliced into ribbons
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Chop onion, mince garlic, and slice cabbage.
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Sauté Onion and Garlic: Push sausage to one side, add onion, and sauté for 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Incorporate Cabbage: Add cabbage and stir, cooking until it wilts down, about 5-10 minutes.
- Add the Flavorings: Drizzle in maple syrup and add Dijon mustard, tossing to combine.
- Simmer and Season: Let simmer until heated through, taste and season with salt and pepper.
- Finish with Herbs: Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Serve warm!
