Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  6. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.

Notes

For an extra touch of flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the cookies right after they come out of the oven.
