Description

A rich and creamy dip combining smoky bacon, sharp cheddar, and sweet maple syrup with a hint of bourbon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 strips bacon
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain, then crumble into pieces.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, grated cheddar cheese, and maple syrup. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in bourbon, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Gently fold in half of the crumbled bacon and chives, reserving the rest for topping.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Remove from the oven, cool slightly, then top with remaining bacon and chives. Serve with chips or fresh veggies.

Notes

For a lighter option, use turkey bacon. Consider substitutes like agave nectar for maple syrup and Greek yogurt for cream cheese.
