A delicious Macadamia-Crusted Barramundi that combines nutty flavors with flaky fish, perfect for gatherings.

- 4 Barramundi fillets
- 1 cup Macadamia nuts, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Macadamia Crust: Finely chop the macadamia nuts. Mix the nuts with melted butter, fresh herbs, salt, and a pinch of pepper.
- Prep the Barramundi: Rinse and pat the barramundi fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Apply the Crust: Gently press the macadamia mixture onto the top of each fillet.
- Cook the Fish: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter, and place the fillets crust-side down. Cook for 4–5 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Flip and Finish Cooking: Carefully flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve: Plate the barramundi, garnish with lemon wedges and extra herbs. Enjoy fresh!
Notes
For a different flavor, mix macadamia nuts with almonds or pecans. Serve with garlic sautéed vegetables or a refreshing salad.
