Ingredients

- 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, or pork)
- 2 cups low-sugar tomato sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground meat in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until the meat is almost done.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Layer half of the meat mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the cheese.
- Repeat, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
- Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
