A rich and creamy loaf pan Basque cheesecake with a slightly caramelized crust that appeals to all ages.
Ingredients

- 16 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, and mix until just combined.
- Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, pour in the cheesecake batter, and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door ajar for about an hour.
- Remove from the oven and cool at room temperature for another hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Lift the cheesecake out of the pan using the parchment overhang, slice, and serve.
Notes
Serve with fresh berries, berry compote, or whipped cream for extra flavor.
