Description

A rich and creamy loaf pan Basque cheesecake with a slightly caramelized crust that appeals to all ages.


Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, and mix until just combined.
  5. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, pour in the cheesecake batter, and smooth the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
  7. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door ajar for about an hour.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool at room temperature for another hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Lift the cheesecake out of the pan using the parchment overhang, slice, and serve.

Notes

Serve with fresh berries, berry compote, or whipped cream for extra flavor.
