Description

A vibrant and flavorful dish that combines succulent chicken and aromatic lemongrass for a delightful culinary experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
  • 2 stalks fresh lemongrass (minced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Fresh cilantro or Thai basil (for garnish)
  • Optional: vegetables such as zucchini, bell peppers, or snap peas

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken into bite-size pieces and place them in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine minced lemongrass, garlic, soy sauce, and honey. Stir well to dissolve the honey.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  5. Once the oil is shimmering, add the marinated chicken.
  6. Sauté until the chicken turns golden brown and is cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve over jasmine rice or alongside fresh vegetables.

Notes

For deeper flavors, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Avoid overcrowding the pan to prevent steaming.
