Description
A vibrant and flavorful dish that combines succulent chicken and aromatic lemongrass for a delightful culinary experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 2 stalks fresh lemongrass (minced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro or Thai basil (for garnish)
- Optional: vegetables such as zucchini, bell peppers, or snap peas
Instructions
- Slice the chicken into bite-size pieces and place them in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine minced lemongrass, garlic, soy sauce, and honey. Stir well to dissolve the honey.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
- Once the oil is shimmering, add the marinated chicken.
- Sauté until the chicken turns golden brown and is cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve over jasmine rice or alongside fresh vegetables.
Notes
For deeper flavors, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Avoid overcrowding the pan to prevent steaming.
