Description
A light and creamy Lemon Panna Cotta that captures the essence of summer with its refreshing flavors and elegant presentation.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon Gelatin
- 1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over a few tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm but not boiling.
- Remove the cream mixture from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
- Add the fresh lemon juice and zest, and mix well to combine.
- Divide the mixture into serving glasses or ramekins, using a fine mesh strainer for a smoother texture if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- Once set, top each panna cotta with fresh fruit, a drizzle of honey, or crushed nuts before serving.
Notes
For best results, refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld; serve with fresh toppings like berries or citrus segments.
