Description
A delightful dish that combines the mild, flaky tilapia with the vibrant crunch of green beans in a fragrant lemon garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 lb green beans, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (parsley or dill), for garnish
Instructions
- Wash and trim the green beans, then set them aside.
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, combine lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the tilapia and let it marinate while you prepare the green beans.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the green beans and sauté for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp and bright green. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, then transfer to a plate.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if necessary. Once heated, carefully place the marinated tilapia in the skillet and sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
- Sprinkle fresh herbs over the tilapia and serve immediately alongside the vibrant green beans.
Notes
Ensure the skillet is hot for a golden crust on the fish. Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking multiple fillets.
