Description
A simple yet elegant dish featuring fresh salmon fillets cooked in a rich lemon garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fresh salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4–5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 1 fresh lemon
- Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or cilantro) for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prep the Salmon: Rinse the fillets under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.
- Make the Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Once it bubbles, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if skin-on). Cook for 4-5 minutes without disturbance.
- Squeeze the Lemon: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets and add lemon zest.
- Flip and Finish: Carefully flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until flaky.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh herbs, and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve with a garden salad, roasted vegetables, or creamy mashed potatoes. A crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc pairs well.
