Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space in between.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
  9. Let sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, substitute butter with coconut oil or vegan butter.
