Description
A delightful mix of marinated steak, fragrant rice, and colorful vegetables, perfect for family gatherings and personalized meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ribeye or flank steak
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 2 cups fresh vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, spinach or bok choy)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Whisk until the sugar dissolves. Add the steak, cover, and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the rice: Prepare jasmine rice according to package instructions. Fluff and keep warm.
- Sauté the vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, drizzle sesame oil. Sauté vegetables until just tender, about 4-5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and set aside.
- Cook the steak: In the same skillet, increase heat to high. Remove steak from marinade and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness. Let rest before slicing.
- Create the bowls: In a bowl, add a scoop of rice, top with sliced steak and sautéed vegetables. Drizzle with reserved marinade and sprinkle sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Allowing the steak to marinate for longer will enhance the flavor. Always let steak rest before slicing for better juiciness.
