Description
Tender beef marinated in a sweet and zesty blend of pineapple and black pepper, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
- 2 tbsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and freshly cracked black pepper to make the marinade.
- Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces and marinate them for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the fridge.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Add the beef bites without overcrowding and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- As the beef nears completion, add the diced pineapple and allow it to caramelize briefly in the pan.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary with more black pepper or a splash of soy sauce.
- Serve on a platter, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
For a lighter meal, consider using leaner cuts of beef or substituting with chicken or tofu. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
