Description

Tender beef marinated in a sweet and zesty blend of pineapple and black pepper, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 2 tbsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and freshly cracked black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces and marinate them for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the fridge.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Add the beef bites without overcrowding and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. As the beef nears completion, add the diced pineapple and allow it to caramelize briefly in the pan.
  5. Adjust seasoning if necessary with more black pepper or a splash of soy sauce.
  6. Serve on a platter, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

For a lighter meal, consider using leaner cuts of beef or substituting with chicken or tofu. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
