A sweet and crunchy mix that combines Chex cereal, pretzels, and mixed nuts, all coated in a buttery toffee.

- 4 cups Chex cereal (any type)
- 2 cups pretzels
- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, peanuts)
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (121°C).
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Stir over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute without stirring, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- In a large bowl, mix the Chex cereal, pretzels, and mixed nuts. Pour the hot toffee mixture over the cereal, stirring gently to coat.
- Spread the coated mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Let it cool completely on the baking sheet, then store in an airtight container.
Notes
Keep a close eye on the mix while baking to achieve a golden color without burnt edges. This mix can last about a week in an airtight container.
