- 1 lb fresh carrots, peeled and sliced
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or parsley
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Wash and peel the carrots. Slice them into evenly sized rounds or sticks.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the carrots and sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Drizzle honey over the carrots and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir to coat.
- Cover and reduce heat to low, cooking for another 10-15 minutes until tender.
- Remove the lid and check for doneness, cooking longer if needed. Sprinkle fresh herbs before serving.
- Serve warm alongside your favorite main dishes.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute butter with olive oil. You can also swap honey for maple syrup for a different flavor.
