Description

A delicious and easy-to-make salmon dish with a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze that brings warmth and nostalgia to any dinner table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon filets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and pepper; set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil; sear the salmon skin-side down for about 5 minutes until crispy.
  4. Flip the salmon and pour the honey garlic sauce over the top; reduce heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, basting occasionally.
  5. Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice on top. Garnish if desired.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

For a vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup. For gluten-free, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
