Description
A comforting and flavorful dish featuring juicy pork chops glazed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or parsley) for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper. Optionally, marinate for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil or butter. Once hot, sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden-brown.
- Remove the chops and add minced garlic to the skillet. Stir for 30 seconds, then add soy sauce and honey, stirring to combine. Allow to bubble and thicken slightly.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and let simmer for a couple of minutes to meld flavors.
- Plate the pork chops, drizzle remaining sauce on top, and serve with preferred sides.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute pork with chicken thighs or portobello mushrooms. If honey is unavailable, maple syrup can be used as a replacement.
