Description
A comforting dish with tender pork chops glazed in a sweet and savory honey-garlic sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
Instructions
- Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the pork from the skillet. Add another tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the honey and soy sauce, whisking together and letting it bubble for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, coating them well in the sauce. Cook for an additional minute.
- Plate the pork chops, drizzle with remaining sauce, and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the skillet and let the chops rest after cooking for maximum juiciness.
