Description
Delicious bites of chicken marinated in a sweet and smoky honey barbecue sauce, perfect for gatherings and family meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for cooking
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mix honey, barbecue sauce, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add the chicken, ensure it’s well-coated, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare Your Cooking Surface: Preheat your grill or skillet. If grilling, oil the grill. For skillet cooking, add vegetable oil and heat over medium-high.
- Cook the Chicken Bites: Grill chicken skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. In a skillet, lay flat and flip occasionally until golden brown.
- Glaze and Finish: Brush additional barbecue sauce on the chicken as it nears readiness to create a sticky glaze. Allow it to caramelize slightly.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or green onions if desired.
Notes
Use raw honey for the best flavor. Adjust marination time for deeper flavor infusion. Don’t overcrowd the cooking surface.
