A family tradition of creating delightful Homemade Peppermint Patties filled with minty goodness and rich chocolate.
Ingredients

- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon butter or coconut oil
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract until a dough forms.
- Dust your hands with powdered sugar and roll small balls of the mixture into disks about ½ inch thick.
- Place the patties on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with butter or coconut oil in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled patty into the melted chocolate using a fork, allowing excess to drip off before placing them back on the wax paper.
- Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
- Enjoy with family and friends or save for yourself.
Notes
Add crushed candy canes on top of chocolate before it hardens for a festive touch.
