Description

A family tradition of creating delightful Homemade Peppermint Patties filled with minty goodness and rich chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon butter or coconut oil
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract until a dough forms.
  2. Dust your hands with powdered sugar and roll small balls of the mixture into disks about ½ inch thick.
  3. Place the patties on a wax paper-lined baking sheet and chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with butter or coconut oil in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip each chilled patty into the melted chocolate using a fork, allowing excess to drip off before placing them back on the wax paper.
  6. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
  7. Enjoy with family and friends or save for yourself.

Notes

Add crushed candy canes on top of chocolate before it hardens for a festive touch.
