  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or nutritional yeast)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Cut the boneless chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Create your Dredging Station: In one bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  3. Coat the Chicken: Dip each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat the Oil: In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Cook the Nuggets: Gently place coated chicken nuggets into the skillet, frying for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain and Serve: Remove nuggets and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Notes

For a healthier option, air fry the nuggets at 400°F for about 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway for even crispiness.
