Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz mixed cremini and shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth.
  2. Slice the mushrooms evenly.
  3. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
  4. Toss in the mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 more minutes.
  6. Zest one lemon and then squeeze in the juice.
  7. Mix in fresh herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with extra herbs or lemon zest.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the pan while sautéing to prevent steaming the mushrooms.
