Ingredients

- 8 oz mixed cremini and shiitake mushrooms, sliced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth.
- Slice the mushrooms evenly.
- Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
- Toss in the mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 more minutes.
- Zest one lemon and then squeeze in the juice.
- Mix in fresh herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra herbs or lemon zest.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the pan while sautéing to prevent steaming the mushrooms.
