- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and dark chocolate together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and eggs until frothy.
- Gradually add melted chocolate mixture to the egg and sugar mix, stirring constantly.
- Sift in flour and gently fold until just combined. Fold in chopped hazelnuts.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth out. Sprinkle reserved hazelnuts on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until edges are firm and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For best results, let brownies cool completely before cutting for cleaner edges. Feel free to serve with vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar.
