Description
A delightful dish featuring juicy shrimp sautéed in garlic with a sweet twist, reminiscent of beachside flavors in Hawaii.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- Fresh cilantro or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by peeling and deveining the shrimp, rinsing them thoroughly and patting them dry.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Cook the shrimp in a single layer for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink, then flip to cook the other side.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and lemon or lime juice. Stir gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are well-coated and absorb the flavors.
- Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro or green onions. Serve immediately over rice or with grilled veggies.
Notes
For a spicy kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan to achieve a good sear on the shrimp.
