Ingredients
- Store-bought puff pastry or homemade dough
- Good quality deli-cut ham
- Cheddar cheese (or mozzarella/gouda)
- Melted butter
- Garlic powder, onion powder, or fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the dough by thawing puff pastry according to package instructions and rolling it out on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the rolled dough into rectangles, approximately 4 inches wide.
- Place a slice of ham and a generous amount of cheese in the center of each rectangle.
- Fold the dough over and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the melted butter generously over each stick.
- Sprinkle any desired seasonings on top.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
