Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your Bundt pan thoroughly.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, sugar, and oil until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the chocolate ganache, heat heavy cream until boiling and pour over chocolate chips in a bowl. Whisk until smooth and cool slightly before pouring over the cooled cake.
  9. Decorate with festive sprinkles or crushed nuts.

Ensure that all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Use cooking spray for easy removal from the pan.
