- Green food coloring or spirulina powder
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter. Slowly stir in desired food coloring or spirulina until achieving the desired green hue.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, stirring until just blended. Avoid overmixing; the batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.
- Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form and edges look set (about 2-3 minutes). Flip and cook until golden brown (1-2 more minutes).
- Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
Notes
Keep pancakes warm in a 200°F oven until the entire batch is cooked. Avoid pressing down on pancakes while cooking to maintain fluffiness.
