- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Green food coloring
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, blend the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter or oil until creamy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract, followed by the green food coloring.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into your wet mix to form a soft dough. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough, roll into balls, and coat in powdered sugar.
- Place the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet about two inches apart and bake for 9-11 minutes.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the dough and adjust baking time based on your oven. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
