Description

A flavorful and tender chicken dish marinated in Greek yogurt, lemon, garlic, and fresh herbs, perfect for any family gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh or dried herbs (thyme, oregano, rosemary)
  • 2 lbs boneless chicken (breasts or thighs)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken in a ziplock bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over. Ensure it’s evenly coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Preheat the grill or oven. For grilling, oil the grates and cook on medium heat for about 6-7 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. For roasting, bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Rest and Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain juices.

Notes

Allow enough time for marinating for the best flavor absorption. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
