Description
A flavorful and tender chicken dish marinated in creamy Greek yogurt and aromatic spices, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (like parsley or dill) for garnish
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the chicken to ensure even cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, and cumin. Add salt and pepper to taste, stirring until smooth.
- Submerge the chicken in the marinade, ensuring it’s fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your grill or oven. For grilling, cook chicken over medium heat for 6-7 minutes each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. For baking, roast at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve alongside roasted vegetables or a Greek salad.
Notes
For a spicier kick, consider adding cayenne pepper to the marinade. You can also use plain yogurt instead of Greek if needed.
