Ingredients

  • 1 whole sea bream, cleaned
  • 2 fresh lemons (zest and juice)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Clean the sea bream under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Score the skin lightly with a knife.
  3. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Rub the marinade generously inside and outside the fish.
  5. Let the fish marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Place the fish on a lined baking sheet. Stuff with lemon slices and herbs if desired.
  8. Roast for 25-30 minutes until the flesh flakes easily and the skin is crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
