Description

A delightful Greek dish featuring roasted sea bream infused with lemon and garlic, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole sea bream or sea bream fillets
  • 2 lemons (freshly squeezed juice and zest)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced or sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the fish by rinsing under cold water and patting dry.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the fish, seasoning generously with salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs. Squeeze lemon juice on top and place lemon slices inside if using whole fish.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Let it rest for a few minutes, then serve with fresh herbs and extra lemon wedges.

Notes

Be careful not to overcook the fish. Adding sliced cherry tomatoes or olives to the baking tray while roasting enhances flavor.
