- 1 cup Butter, softened
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 large Egg or 2 Egg Yolks
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg(s) and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Scoop spoonfuls of the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra gooeyness, mix different sizes of chocolate chips. Ensure butter is at room temperature for best results.
