Description

A nostalgic dish combining savory sausage wrapped in dough with a sweet and tangy glaze, perfect for gatherings or as a comforting snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of sausage (pork, turkey, or plant-based)
  • 1 package of store-bought crescent roll dough or homemade puff pastry
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the dough into triangles according to package directions.
  4. Wrap a sausage link on the wider end of a triangle and roll it up tightly, pinching the seams to seal.
  5. In a small bowl, mix honey, brown sugar, and mustard until well combined to prepare the glaze.
  6. Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush each with melted butter and drizzle with the glaze.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, with extra glaze on the side for dipping if desired.

Notes

Avoid overstuffing the dough and ensure to preheat the oven for best results.
