Description

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of crusty Italian or sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 23 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional)
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread into thick pieces.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add herbs if desired.
  4. Spread the garlic butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  5. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
